The Garmin Varia RearVue 820 is the next-generation rearview cycling radar with capabilities beyond any previous Varia model. In addition to detecting approaching vehicles up to 140 yards away, the RearVue 820 adds vehicle size detection that distinguishes between cars, trucks, and other large vehicles, and vehicle threat level detection that assesses how quickly a vehicle is approaching to prioritize alerts. A brake light feature automatically activates when it senses you decelerating, alerting drivers behind you that you're slowing. Works with compatible Garmin Edge cycling computers, Garmin smartwatches, and the Varia app. A significant step up from the RTL515 in awareness and intelligence.
