Lake Cycling CX242 - Wide | White/Black
Lake's fit-first flagship road shoe in a wide last: the CX242 White/Black
The Lake CX242 Wide is the shoe for riders who have tried everything and never found a road shoe that truly fits. Its defining feature is a segmented six-zone upper: rather than one continuous closure, support spreads across six independent panels that flex and conform as you tighten the dials, so you can relieve pressure on a bunion or sensitive spot without loosening the whole shoe. This White and Black colorway uses a supple full-grain leather upper with NuFoam lining and Carbitex carbon fiber support panels, and the Wide Competition last adds real forefoot room before that adaptability even begins. A heat-moldable heel counter can be warmed to lock in your exact heel shape.
Underneath sits a Lake Competition 100% carbon fiber sole for elite stiffness and power transfer, on a 3-bolt pattern for Shimano SPD-SL, Look, and compatible pedals. Dual BOA Li2 dials let you manage forefoot and instep tension independently, the key to preventing the compression that standard closures create on wider or harder-to-fit feet. This is the Wide width, purpose-built for riders who need genuine room and a fit they can fine-tune.
