The Lake MX239 Gravel is the latest version of Lake's best-selling gravel shoe, purpose-built for the rigors of fast and technical gravel riding. An integrated tongue fused to the medial upper panel creates a firmer foot hold for improved power transfer into forward momentum. A fiberglass-reinforced internal heel counter provides a more stable heel lock. Greater spacing between the two BOA dials enables improved independent zone adjustment. The recycled leather upper is durable and weather-resistant for mixed-surface riding. A carbon-composite outsole with rubber lugs delivers the right balance of stiffness and walkability: stiffer than a trail shoe, more flexible than a pure road shoe, with meaningful grip on varied surfaces. Two BOA Li2 Dual Dial Closures for micro-adjustable, even pressure. Competition last offers a larger toe box, tighter heel, and extra ball girth volume. Compatible with Shimano SPD two-bolt cleats.
