Lake Cycling TX224 - Regular | White/Black
Is the Lake Cycling TX224 the right triathlon shoe for fast transitions?
The Lake Cycling TX224 - Regular | White/Black is built around a single idea: better fit means faster transitions and better performance. Built on Lake's CX/TX Competition Last for medium-volume feet, the Regular width delivers a balanced platform with slightly more forefoot room than the Race Last and a tight heel for high-cadence efforts. The full Carbon Fiber sole with replaceable heel pads gives you maximum power transfer with minimal weight, and the 3-bolt cleat pattern works with Look, SPD-SL, and similar road systems.
The upper combines Clarino Microfiber with Lake's NuFoam breathable wicking shell and Trek-Dry antimicrobial liner for sockless triathlon comfort, drawing moisture out and letting air flow through to keep your feet cool between transitions. A speed draw-string lace system pairs with a single hook-and-loop strap, so you set the lace tension before the race and rely on the strap for fast, repeatable closures coming out of T1. Built for triathletes who want a precise, comfortable fit and a stiff carbon platform without compromising on transition speed.
