PDW Bindle Rack
Is the PDW Bindle Rack the right seatpost rack for bikepacking gear?
The PDW Bindle Rack is a seatpost-mounted rack built to haul a stuff sack, drybag, or sleeping kit without committing to a full traditional rack. It clamps to any seatpost between 22.0 and 31.6mm with a single 5mm hex bolt and installs in under a minute. The lightweight alloy platform supports up to 12 pounds (5.34kg) of gear. The Bindle's frame ties into the saddle rails through three adjustable compression straps, eliminating the side-to-side sway that plagues high-volume seat packs and pulling the load tight against the saddle.
Compatibility is what makes the Bindle versatile. The 5.25 x 13.5 inch deck handles a tent, a 14L drybag, a growler, or a stuff sack of off-bike clothing, with three independently adjustable straps to dial in the cinch for whatever shape you load. PDW recommends pairing it with the Revelate Designs Terrapin Drybag for tapered-fit bikepacking. Backed by a Lifetime PDWarranty. Best for riders who want bikepacking-style cargo capacity without committing to mounting bosses or a permanent rack.
