This arm uses a square taper JIS spindle interface with a diamond-orientation spindle hole -- the correct spec for the E6000 drive unit, not interchangeable with Hollowtech II or other standard crank interfaces. The 175mm length suits taller riders or those transitioning from a longer arm on a standard bike, and is one of two arm lengths Shimano offers for the FC-E6000 crankset alongside the 170mm version.
