What Is the Shimano SM-CN910-12 Quick-Link For?

The Shimano SM-CN910-12 is the 12-speed chain quick-link (master link) for connecting and disconnecting Shimano 12-speed chains tool-free. Quick-links make chain removal for cleaning or replacement significantly faster than traditional chain pins -- snap the link together for installation, and use Shimano quick-link pliers or a chain breaker in reverse to remove cleanly without damaging the chain. The SM-CN910-12 is sized specifically for 12-speed chains and is not interchangeable with 11-speed or other speed quick-links. Each link is single-use -- replace with a new quick-link every time the chain is removed.

Compatible with Shimano 12-speed chains including XTR CN-M9100, XT CN-M8100, SLX CN-M7100, Deore CN-M6100, and Dura-Ace 12-speed chains. Sold as 2 pairs for on-hand redundancy during maintenance.
