Shimano SM-SH12 SPD-SL 2-Degree Front-Center Pivot Mode Cleats (Blue)
Who Should Use the Shimano SM-SH12 SPD-SL Blue Cleat?
The Shimano SM-SH12 is the SPD-SL blue cleat with 2 degrees of float and a front-center pivot, designed for experienced road cyclists who find the 6-degree float of the SM-SH11 yellow too much but want to avoid the fully fixed engagement of the SM-SH10 red. Two degrees of float allows a very small amount of lateral heel movement around a forward pivot point, providing near-fixed foot positioning that suits riders with well-established cleat placement and foot alignment who want to eliminate excess float without stiffening the knee joint completely. The front-center pivot mode means the pivot point sits toward the front of the cleat rather than the center of the foot.
Compatible with all Shimano SPD-SL three-bolt road pedals. Sold as a pair. For riders moving from SM-SH11 yellow who want less float, or from SM-SH10 red who want minimal float without fully fixed engagement.
