Silca Anti-Seize
Why Does SILCA Make Anti-Seize for Cyclists?
SILCA Anti-Seize is a nickel-based assembly paste formulated specifically for the reactive metals found on high-end bikes: titanium, aluminum, magnesium, carbon, and stainless steel, plus any combination of them. Wherever two dissimilar metals meet at a threaded or press-fit interface, galvanic corrosion can set in and lock parts together over time. A thin layer of anti-seize at assembly stops that, so a titanium bolt, a bottom bracket, or a press-fit interface comes apart cleanly years later instead of seizing in place.
Engineered to aerospace standards, it holds up to salt, moisture, and galvanic corrosion far better than lithium grease, and stays stable in service up to 1426°C (2,600°F). It is copper-free, lead-free, and contains no PTFE or PFAS. A little goes a long way: apply a thin film to clean threads or contact surfaces, torque to the manufacturer spec, and the interface stays serviceable for the life of the component. Supplied in a 12cc syringe applicator for clean, precise dosing. For any cyclist wrenching on a quality build, this is the paste that prevents the expensive mistakes.
