What is the SILCA Mattone Grande built to carry?

The SILCA Mattone Grande is the high-capacity version of SILCA's award-winning under-saddle bag. "Mattone" is Italian for brick, and the design is about as solid as that implies. The BOA Closure System dials the bag tight against your saddle rails with a single ratcheting dial that delivers more than 15 times the holding force of Velcro, and it will not creep or loosen under vibration. At 0.74L, the Grande holds three road tubes, two CO2 cartridges, two tire levers, and a multitool, or two 29x2.5-inch MTB tubes plus the rest of your kit. That is almost twice the capacity of the original Mattone in the same clean, rattle-free form.

A high-friction Hypalon strap handles secondary retention, and the YKK waterproof zipper keeps rain and road spray out. The bag stays high and tight under the saddle with no bouncing, swinging, or rattling.
