Silca Pocket Impero 2.0
What makes the SILCA Pocket Impero 2.0 so efficient?
The SILCA Pocket Impero 2.0 is, in Silca's words, the mini pump to put all others to shame, and the reason is its leather piston gasket. Heat is the enemy of mini pumps: more strokes mean more friction, more heat, and more wasted energy, and synthetic o-rings lose effectiveness as they warm up. Leather is self-lubricating and conforms to the bore over time, so the Pocket Impero does not suffer that efficiency loss when hot. Silca positions it between a high-pressure and a high-volume pump, and reports that at 200 strokes it reaches higher pressures than any other pocketable pump ever tested in the BikeRadar protocol, pushing more air with fewer losses than either design on its own.
The full alloy construction means nothing cracks, warps, or degrades in heat or cold, and a slide-lock silicone sleeve improves grip while doubling as a handle lock so it will not extend in your pocket. At 150g and 8 inches it disappears into a jersey pocket or kit bag, and it works with Presta valves for road and adventure tire repairs. It is backed by SILCA-Shield, the most comprehensive warranty in cycling, with a 25-year hard parts guarantee and 2-year no-fault coverage.
