SRAM Threaded Chainring Removal Tool v.2
Do you need the SRAM Threaded Chainring Removal Tool v.2?
The SRAM Threaded Chainring Removal Tool v.2 is the required service tool for removing threadmount chainrings from SRAM power meter cranksets. Threadmount rings thread directly onto the crank spider rather than bolt on, and attempting removal without this tool risks damaging the ring, the spider threads, or both. The v.2 design covers all current SRAM power meter cranksets with threadmount interfaces, including both 1x and 2x configurations across RED, Force, and Rival platforms.
If you run a SRAM AXS power meter crankset and ever need to swap rings, service the crankset, or transfer it between builds, this tool is not optional. The investment pays for itself the first time you pull a ring cleanly instead of fighting it with improvised tools. Works with all SRAM threadmount chainrings, current and previous generation. Keep it in the toolbox if you are wrenching on SRAM AXS road or gravel drivetrains regularly.
