Wahoo TRACKR Radar
Does the Wahoo TRACKR Radar Give Cyclists Real Awareness of Traffic Behind Them?
The Wahoo TRACKR Radar is a rear-facing radar that mounts to your seatpost and detects vehicles approaching from up to 150 meters (164 yards) behind you, sending real-time alerts to your Wahoo ELEMNT or other ANT+ radar compatible computer or watch, including Garmin Edge. When a vehicle enters the detection zone, your head unit flags it so you know what's coming without having to look over your shoulder. This is especially useful on open roads, during group rides where gaps open up, and on fast descents where you have less time to react. The integrated rear light has four modes, and in the Wahoo app you can turn on a brake light, a quick alert light that changes its flash and gets brighter when a vehicle is detected, and a battery saver.
Compatible with Wahoo ELEMNT computers and devices that support the ANT+ radar standard, including Garmin Edge computers. It needs a bike computer or watch for ride alerts, since the Wahoo app handles settings and firmware only. Rechargeable, 99 g, and rated IPX7. The TRACKR Radar doesn't replace good situational awareness, but it gives you an extra layer of information when riding in traffic. That's exactly the kind of redundancy that matters on a bike.
