Black Inc developed it to bring the Factor OSTRO VAM up to the level of the fastest bikes in the world, and seven-time grand tour winner Chris Froome had a hand in its development. The tops carry a 40mm aero profile, a depth Black Inc settled on after testing shapes in CFD and then in the wind tunnel. Narrower hoods let you ride with your forearms flat on the horns of the levers, which shrinks your frontal area.

The shaping works for your hands as much as the wind. The tops sweep back 3 degrees for a natural wrist angle, chamfered corners give your wrists room when you sprint, and the drops flare 7 degrees to sit 29mm wider than the hoods. That flare is what lets the AB02 pull double duty: size it at the drops for a tucked road position, or at the hoods for more leverage in the drops on gravel. Routing is fully internal for electronic and disc brake groupsets, and the Black Inc V10 computer mount comes in the box. Stem length and bar width are fixed in one piece, so confirm both against your current fit before you order, and talk to the lab if you are between sizes.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0959/8435/3592/files/black-inc-integrated-aero-barstem-ab02-handlebar-overhead.jpg?v=1792250967
