IAN GIBSON
ABOUT:
Ian originates from Leicester, England, and spent fourteen years in Garmisch, Germany before moving to the States in the early nineties. He works for Alaska Airlines as a Maintenance Controller, and lives in Gresham with his wife, Shelly, and two teenage daughters. Ian has been cycling all of his life. From his base in southern Germany, Ian rode throughout the Alps, doing the occasional time trial and mountain bike race. He returns there to visit friends each year, and last year spent time in northern Italy climbing the Stelvio, Gavia, and Mortirollo passes. In 2015, Ian decided to ‘take it to the next level’ and get into racing. He is a regular at PIR, and competes fiercely in the early season OBRA road events.
When Ian is not riding, he is either sleeping or working. In a former life before becoming so obsessive, Ian was into alpine skiing and mountaineering /rock climbing.
