Kurt grew up running when running wasn’t a “thing” but rather something you did because no one told you you should. Cycling entered his life as a means of rehab from a back injury/surgery in his early 20’s. Time trials and duathlons became a painful way to enjoy himself. Soon, hill climbing was discovered and became even more painful yet still enjoyable. Road and mountain bike racing continued until life happened and he took an extended break. Back at it, he’s determined to train, race and enjoy himself once again while on a bike.
Kurt enjoys laughing at his dogs goofy everyday antics, finding things around the house to rebuild/replace (even when they don’t need it), working in his yard, camping, fishing and spending time with his wife Debbi.
