What makes SILCA Nastro Cuscino 2.5 a premium all-day bar tape?
The SILCA Nastro Cuscino 2.5mm is bar tape engineered from first principles rather than extruded from a single foam. It uses a tri-laminate of SILCAthane, an outer grip ply tuned from high-performance eyewear materials for tack in wet and dry, a SILCAlon cushion layer developed from 2-Hour Marathon shoe foam for rebound and comfort, and a 3M Visco-elastic adhesive that targets handlebar buzz with the right amount of damping. The payoff is the cushioned feel of a thicker tape, vibration isolation a standard foam cannot match, and roughly 3 to 5x the durability of conventional tape.
At 2.5mm it sits in the sweet spot for most road riders: noticeably more compliant than 1.85mm race tape, without the bulk of the 3.75mm wrap. It comes with full adhesive-backed butterfly segments for clean lever-clamp coverage, high-grip finishing tape, and expanding aluminum/composite end plugs, at 230cm +/- 10% per roll. Every roll is automatically enrolled in SILCA's Crash Replacement Program. Available in Black, Cyan Blue, Neon Pink, Grey, and Red.
