The R55C4 carbon compound is specifically engineered for this application, delivering controlled, predictable stopping power on carbon rims without the rim-damaging heat buildup that aluminum pads cause. The cartridge-type design fits the standard R55 shoe holder system already mounted on Shimano calipers.
