Do I need to strip the chain before waxing?

Yes. Factory grease and oil-based lubricants prevent wax from bonding to chain metal. Use SILCA Ultimate Chain Stripper or StripChip to fully prep the chain before first dip.

How often does the chain need to be re-dipped?

Up to 300 miles per application under clean conditions. You can extend that interval with EnduranceChip (up to 800 miles) or top up between dips with Super Secret Chain Lube every 200 miles.

What temperature should the wax be?

Heat to 125C to melt quickly, then drop to 75C for waxing. Dip the chain for approximately 5 minutes until no more bubbles appear during agitation, then hang to cool.
