What sets the Wheels Manufacturing Derailleur Hanger 321 apart?
The Wheels Manufacturing Derailleur Hanger 321 is machined to be stiffer than the Trek OEM hanger it replaces, which is what keeps shifting crisp on Trek thru axle frames running a standard mount rear derailleur. It replaces Trek parts W524188 and W5281894, and it fits the Checkpoint ALR, SL, and SLR, the Domane ALR, SL, and SLR Disc, the Emonda ALR, SL, and SLR Disc, the Madone SL and SLR Disc, and the Boone. If your rear derailleur is sitting crooked or your hanger snapped in a crash, this is the part that gets your shifting back to true.
Each hanger is CNC machined from 6061 aluminum in Wheels Manufacturing's Colorado shop and finished in black anodize, held to the tolerances that make the difference between a hanger that aligns and one that fights you. It attaches with two M3x12 flat head screws, which are not included, so plan to reuse your existing hardware. The derailleur hanger is designed to be the sacrificial part that bends or breaks before your frame or derailleur does, so a spare belongs in the travel case. Confirm your exact model and year against the fitment list before ordering, because this hanger covers the standard mount derailleur years only.
