FAQ

What is the Zwift Cog and Click and how does it work?: The Zwift Cog is a single-speed 14T cog compatible with almost any 8-13 speed bike, so you can mount different bikes without swapping cassettes or adjusting your derailleur. The Zwift Click is a two-button Bluetooth controller that mounts to your handlebar and lets you shift through 24 virtual gears and control Zwift menus. Note: the Click's virtual shifting only works within the Zwift platform.

What is Race Mode and why does it matter for racing on Zwift?: Race Mode increases the trainer's power data broadcast rate from 1 Hz (once per second) to up to 10 Hz (once per flywheel revolution). This means wattage updates are nearly instantaneous during sprints and accelerations rather than averaged over a full second, resulting in more accurate pacing, drafting, and timing in competitive virtual racing. Race Mode requires a WiFi connection.

What is KICKR Bridge and how does it help with connectivity?: KICKR Bridge turns the trainer into a central sensor hub. Instead of pairing your heart rate monitor or other sensors directly to your phone, tablet, or Apple TV (which limits available Bluetooth slots), they connect through the trainer and are relayed to your app in a single Bluetooth connection. This is especially useful on Apple TV, which limits Bluetooth devices to three simultaneous connections.

Best For

Cyclists who ride primarily on Zwift and want the simplest, most compatible setup. The Zwift Cog removes the need to match cassettes between bikes, making it ideal for households with multiple bikes or riders who swap frequently between indoor and outdoor wheels. Race Mode makes it a strong choice for competitive Zwift racers who want the fastest possible power data updates at a mid-range price point.
