FAQ

Do I still need a power meter with the KICKR v.6?

Not for indoor training purposes. The built-in power meter at +/- 1% is highly accurate and suitable for structured training. If you are racing virtually and want power meter parity with outdoor rides for direct comparison, you may still want an external meter, but most riders find the KICKR built-in meter sufficient.

What is the KICKR AXIS feature?

AXIS Action Feet allow the trainer to rock slightly side-to-side as you pedal, mimicking the natural lateral movement of riding outdoors. This reduces hip and lower back fatigue over long sessions and makes the trainer feel less static than a fully locked platform.

Does it need to be near my router to use WiFi?

It needs a WiFi connection to use direct app control features, but Bluetooth and ANT+ work independently of WiFi for platform connectivity with Zwift, TrainerRoad, and similar apps during rides.

Best For

Serious indoor cyclists building a complete pain cave setup who want accurate power measurement, realistic road feel, and a reliable trainer that handles every training platform on the market.
