Per BH:

The BH QUARTZ SETS THE STANDARD FOR VERTICAL COMPLIANCE AND LATERAL RIGIDITY.
An endurance design coupled with aerodynamics makes the Quartz the ideal bicycle for a wide range of cyclists.

The reactive, aerodynamic frame and great performance and stability provides efficiency to a wide range of cyclists. Vertical compliance is optimal, its BB386 EVO bottom bracket, the slightly taller tapered head tube, flat mount brakes and the ability to integrate the Di2 battery into the seat post make the Quartz an eminently capable ride ideal for devouring miles of gravel or crushing all comers at Wednesday Night Worlds.

100% CARBON. STANDARD FLAT MOUNT SYSTEM
With the design and development of the Quartz line, BH has created a lightweight yet responsive top-performing frame which stands second none in its category. The Quartz frame is a full carbon HCIM (Hollow Core Internal Molded) design developed using a highly specific carbon layup and molding technique. This innovative technology allows for greater control and optimization of the material thicknesses throughout the frame design. A specific blend of high modulus carbon fiber was selected specifically to meet the performance targets set by the BH development team, which resulted in a spectacular aerodynamic design that is lightweight and offers optimal vertical compliancy. The Quartz Disc frame incorporates the new Shimano Flat Mount standard providing lightweight, aerodynamic and built-in integration in the frame without the need of adaptors.

AERODYNAMIC FORK AND ASYMMETRIC REAR TRIANGLE
The Quartz fork, like that of the G6, is manufactured using a unique carbon design which fits the headset like a glove. The result is a smooth transition between frame and fork in both looks and performance. The rear chainstay design is asymmetrical, as in the other BH top of the line frames, in order to increase the lateral stiffness of the frame and to allow installation of wider wheel designs.

LATERAL AND VERTICAL RIGIDITY
The BB386 EVO bottom bracket, an innovation co-developed by BH in collaboration with FSA, incorporates an overall bottom bracket width of 86.5 mm. This optimized bottom bracket design allows the frame builder to increases overall frame stiffness while increasing rear tire clearance required of wider wheel designs. Using this system, BH has increase the torsion stiffness in the bottom bracket of the Quartz resulting in increased rider efficiency. The result is improved lateral stiffness, greater stability and increased control with each turn of the pedals.

SEMI-SLOPING GEOMETRY WITH 406 MM CHAINSTAYS
The design of the frame is slightly sloped to guarantee greater rider ergonomics. This semi-sloping geometry places the gravity center lower and along with 406mm chainstays guarantees efficiency and more stability for the rider.

27.2 MM SEAT POST
The Quartz seat post is 27.2 mm in diameter, similar to that used on the Ultralight model. This design offers additional weight savings to the overall frame while adding greater vertical compliancy.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
