These shoes are absolutely amazing! The most comfortable biking shoes I’ve ever owned…and I’ve been biking for 40 years. I have a very wide foot and the wide version of these shoes is finally wide enough!
My opinion is that this kit is not worth the money.
Contrary to advertising, it includes zero instructions and provides no link for online instructions. I finally found a link online to an outdated parts list on an unofficial webpage.
I have Shimano DB8 brakes, and this kit has only one adapter that has the correct thread, but when you try to use it, the body diameter is too large. So zero adapters work for a very common brake system. Even the bleed blocks are the incorrect size, with no shims or varying sizes.
I ended up buying a kit off Amazon that I could use the adapters from, and I shimmed the bleed block. So basically I only ended up using the syringes from the "Elite" kit. The syringes allow air to bypass the piston seals, so you can't even degas the fluid properly. This would be a non-starter with DOT fluid.
The kit SUCKS considering the price.
But when I reached out to Dialed about it I got no response. Nothing. Since I opened the package I would have had to pay a restocking fee if I returned it, even though their own page falsely advertises features of the kit.
Thumbs down for both Jagwire and Dialed.
Hi Seth, Thank you for the honest review and sorry to hear that you're unhappy with the Jagwire bleed kit. We did respond to the email you sent the the next day since it was after hours when you sent it... Maybe it landed in your junk mail? Nevertheless, we offered to help you get what you need as we want you to be happy with your purchase. Additionally, you purchased a Shimano kit for a SRAM brake set, which is why it didn't have the fitting you needed. This is an honest mistake as SRAM historically used DOT fluid, but your DB8 brakes are actually SRAM's first mountain bike brake to use mineral oil like Shimano. As we mentioned in our email to you, we have a M4 threaded adapter and correct bleed block that we would be happy to send you. Hopefully this message find you so we can get you setup... Give us a call and we will be happy to take care of you!
