SpecializedStatus 140

The Status 140 is built for riders who would rather point it down the hill than take the tidy line. A 29 inch wheel up front rolls over the rough stuff, a 27.5 out back keeps the rear end quick through corners, and 140mm of travel at both ends smooths the trail so you stay fresh deep into a long day. The alloy frame takes contact and keeps going.

This Status is a little different. It was built from the frame up as a full 27.5 bike with a taller 160mm fork to make up for the smaller wheel up front. Crankbrothers Synthesis Enduro wheels are tuned differently front and rear, the front for grip and the rear for support, so the bike holds the line you pick. SRAM Code RSC brakes bring four piston power with adjustable lever feel, which means steady control on long descents instead of tired hands at the bottom. A GX Eagle drivetrain with a 10-52 cassette paired with a 30t ring gives you a real climbing gear and enough range to keep pedaling when the trail opens up. The PNW Loam dropper moves 200mm, so the saddle is completely out of the way when you want it gone. Maxxis Assegai and Minion DHR II tires are the combination most riders fit anyway.
