The 4-way stretch micro-mesh top sits smoothly under any helmet and provides real UV protection (UPF 35 in white, UPF 50 in black) while Halo's integrated SweatSeal® channels moisture away from your eyes so your vision stays clear when it counts. The flexible visor positions up or down depending on glare, and there's no pressure or bunching under a helmet.
When temperatures drop, the sides fold down over your ears for wind protection and warmth, which makes this cap genuinely useful across seasons. Grip Technology keeps it locked in place, and Dryline® fabric wicks moisture and dries fast. Ideal for road, gravel, and mountain biking. One size fits most. Machine wash cold, hang dry. Yes, it’s built for exactly that. The 4-way stretch micro-mesh conforms to your head and sits cleanly under any helmet without adding bulk or creating pressure. Many cyclists keep the visor flipped up when riding under a helmet and flip it down for sun blocking during warmup or after dismounting.
How is the Halo Cycling Cap different from the Halo Skull Cap?
The Cycling Cap has a visor; the Skull Cap doesn’t. If you ride in variable sun conditions, especially road or gravel where you’re often exposed, the Cycling Cap’s flip-up/flip-down brim gives you extra versatility. Both have the same SweatSeal® system, UPF protection, and ear-fold cold weather feature. It comes down to whether you want a visor or not.
Can I wear it in cold weather?
Yes. When temps drop, the sides fold down over your ears for wind protection and added warmth, the same feature found on the Skull Cap. In mild conditions, the sides stay up and it functions as a lightweight sweat-managing layer. It’s a genuinely year-round cap that earns its place in the rotation.
