Overview

What Makes the Halo Protex Bandana a Go-To for Outdoor Athletes?

The Halo Protex Bandana is built for athletes who prefer a tie-behind fit over a pullover. The open mesh top provides real UV protection, UPF 35 in white and UPF 50 in black and darker colors, while Halo's patented SweatSeal® forms a watertight barrier that channels sweat away from your eyes instead of letting it drip down your face. Grip Technology keeps it locked in place through any effort level, and the smooth tie-back design means you can dial in the fit exactly how you like it.

Made from Halo's antimicrobial Dryline® fabric, it absorbs moisture, wicks fast, and dries quickly. The 4-way stretch micro-mesh releases heat for year-round comfort, and it won't lose its shape or stretch out over time. One size fits all, including larger head sizes. Made in the USA, with a one-year warranty against manufacturer defects.

Does the Halo Protex Bandana fit under a cycling helmet?

Yes, the tie-back design lets you adjust the fit before pulling on your helmet. The open micro-mesh top doesn’t add bulk, so it sits cleanly under road or mountain bike helmets without pressure or bunching.

What’s the difference between the Protex Bandana and the Halo II Pullover?

The Protex Bandana ties behind the head, which makes it easy to put on glasses-first and lets you dial in the tension exactly. It also covers more of the head with its wider, ear-to-ear design. The Halo II is a simple pullover, lighter and more minimal. If you want more coverage or prefer a tie-back fit, the Protex is the better choice.

Does it actually provide UV protection?

Yes. The micro-mesh is rated UPF 35 in white and UPF 50 in black and darker colorways, the highest UV protection rating available. That’s a meaningful benefit on long days in the sun, especially at altitude or on exposed gravel routes.
