What makes SILCA Nastro Cuscino 2.5 a premium all-day bar tape?
The SILCA Nastro Cuscino 2.5mm is bar tape built from a laminate instead of a single foam extrusion. It uses a tri-laminate of SILCAthane, an outer grip ply tuned from high-performance eyewear materials for tack in wet and dry, a SILCAlon cushion layer developed from 2-Hour Marathon shoe foam for rebound and comfort, and a 3M Visco-elastic adhesive that targets handlebar buzz with the right amount of damping. The payoff is cushion with dampening similar to 3.5mm in other tapes, better vibration isolation, and roughly 3 to 5x the durability of existing tape materials.
It comes with full adhesive-backed butterfly segments for clean lever-clamp coverage, high-grip finishing tape, and expanding aluminum/composite end plugs, at 230cm +/- 10% per roll. Every roll is automatically enrolled in SILCA's Crash Replacement Program. Available in Black, White, Cyan Blue, Neon Pink, Grey, and Red.

Yes. SILCA Nastro Cuscino 2.5 comes in a 230cm length, which SILCA says is long enough to wrap standard drop bars with some to spare. If it does not seem long enough, SILCA suggests wrapping it more tightly.
What is SILCAthane and why does it matter?
SILCAthane is the outer grip ply of SILCA Nastro bar tape, tuned from high-performance eyewear materials. SILCA says it is 5 to 10x tougher than traditional bar tape, retains 2 to 3x more grip when wet compared to skin foam, and is waterproof and non-staining.
Does the SILCA Cuscino tri-laminate really last longer?
Yes. SILCA states the Nastro laminate gives 3 to 5x the durability of existing tape materials, because the laminated design puts the exact material in the exact right location instead of relying on a single foam extrusion.
