What Is the Wolf Tooth Quick Release Seatpost Clamp?
The Wolf Tooth Quick Release Seatpost Clamp makes saddle height changes easy. A low-profile ergonomic lever on the side opens and closes the clamp. The clamp is held together by a stainless steel bolt with a bronze bushing, which gives smooth lever action and lets you set the clamping torque. Wolf Tooth says it is friendly with carbon, steel, alloy, and titanium frames.
Wolf Tooth CNC machines it from 6061-T6 aluminum in its Minneapolis facility. The Lab carries it in 28.6mm, 29.8mm, 31.8mm, and 34.9mm. Pick the size that matches the outside diameter of your frame's seat tube, not your seatpost. Wolf Tooth says each clamp fits frames within 0.5mm of its listed size. Set the bolt with a 4mm hex wrench to your frame maker's spec.

Can I use it on a carbon frame?
Wolf Tooth says it is friendly with carbon frames. For carbon frames, Wolf Tooth says to follow the frame maker's recommendations.
How do I set the clamping force?
With the lever closed, tighten the bolt with a 4mm hex wrench to your frame maker's spec. After that, use the lever to release and clamp for height changes.
Does it fit Ibis frames?
Wolf Tooth says it does not fit older Ibis carbon frames with a curved seat collar. It does fit newer Ibis frames with a standard clamp, including Ripley V5, Ripmo V3, DV9 V2, and HD6.
