The Cane Creek Invert CS Gravel Fork is a lightweight inverted suspension fork for drop bar bikes, giving you 40mm of travel at 1113 grams with a Climb Switch for firm, out of the saddle efforts. Cane Creek builds the chassis from a carbon fiber crown and steerer bonded to aluminum upper tubes, with one piece forged and machined 30mm stanchions below. The air spring adjusts to rider weight, and the Climb Switch firms the fork up with a single click when you stand to climb. The result is more traction and control on washboard, loose corners, and steep descents, with a clean look that doesn't shout suspension fork.
It takes a 1 1/8 to 1.5 inch tapered steerer, uses a 12x100 thru axle with a hidden axle design, and fits tires up to 700x50mm. Brakes mount flat mount with hardware for a 160mm rotor included, and a rear +20mm flat mount adapter opens up 180mm rotors. The 40mm travel version has a 435mm axle to crown and 45mm offset, so check your frame against Cane Creek's fitment list before you order. Service is simple too: a splash oil flush every 50 hours with no special tools, and a full service at 100 hours. Gravel riders who spend their weekends on rough backroads and want a calmer front end without adding a heavy fork will feel the difference on the first descent.
