Overview

What happened to CarboRocket Rocket Red, now called RRED?

The CarboRocket RRED Nitric Oxide Pre-Workout Mix is Rocket Red, renamed. Same beet-powered formula, new name, new packaging, now in a 20 serving jar. If Rocket Red was your pre-race ritual, nothing about what goes in the bottle has changed. Beet root juice supplies the dietary nitrates your body converts to nitric oxide, which supports oxygen efficiency and endurance, and L-Citrulline Malate 2:1 backs blood flow on high output efforts.

Beta-Alanine rounds out the blend to help buffer fatigue, and the light tingle it can cause is normal, exactly as it was under the Rocket Red label. Montmorency Tart Cherry supports recovery from hard training, pomegranate juice supports blood flow and endurance, and stevia is the only sweetener in the jar. Mix one serving with 4 to 8 oz of water 45 to 60 minutes before training or racing, or stir it into a smoothie. Because RRED carries no caffeine, it stacks cleanly with a caffeinated 333 flavor on race day instead of piling stimulants on top of each other, which is how we usually suggest running the two together. Best for the endurance rider who wants a pre-race edge without a stimulant load, and for caffeine-sensitive athletes who have written off pre-workouts.

Is CarboRocket RRED the same as Rocket Red?

Yes. CarboRocket RRED is the same formula CarboRocket sold as Rocket Red, with a new name and new packaging. The jar now holds 20 servings and the flavor is still tart cherry and pomegranate.

Why did CarboRocket rename Rocket Red to RRED?

CarboRocket rebranded the product as RRED with new packaging and clean jars. The company describes it as the same formula under a new name, so riders who used Rocket Red are getting the identical blend.

Does CarboRocket RRED have caffeine?

No, CarboRocket RRED contains no caffeine and no stimulants. It works through beet root juice and nitric oxide support rather than a stimulant hit, so there is no crash on the other side of it.

How long before a ride should I take CarboRocket RRED?

Mix one serving of CarboRocket RRED with 4 to 8 oz of water and drink it 45 to 60 minutes before training or racing. It also stirs into a smoothie if that is easier on your stomach in the morning.

Why does CarboRocket RRED make my skin tingle?

The light tingle comes from the beta-alanine in CarboRocket RRED. CarboRocket notes that the sensation is normal, and it passes on its own.
