They serve different purposes. The Pro V is the heavily padded all-day glove built around CDS and Velcro closure for long rides where comfort dominates. This Pro is the lean, aero-focused race glove built around the Aero Race 8S back fabric and Dyneema palm for the day the result matters. Less padding, less weight, more aero, more crash protection from the Dyneema, no Velcro, race fit.

What does Dyneema actually do in the palm?

Dyneema is an ultra high molecular weight polyethylene fiber, the same family of material used in body armor and sail rigging. By weight it is roughly 15 times stronger than steel and dramatically more abrasion resistant than nylon or polyester.
