What Is the Castelli Toe Thingy 2?
The Castelli Toe Thingy 2 keeps your feet warm without the hassle of a full shoecover. It is a slip-on windproof neoprene toe cover that fits over the front of your shoe and is held in place by the cleats. Castelli says it's surprisingly effective, and you can just leave it on your shoe.
A rugged, rubberized sole has openings for the cleats, and a silicone print on the underside adds grip and resists rips or tears. The inside fabric is red. You can wear it on its own or as a layer between your shoe and a shoecover. Castelli rates it for 50 to 64°F (10 to 18°C), lists it for road and gravel, and warns that the color may transfer when wet. It comes in one size.
