What is the Challenge Gravel Grinder TLR built for?

The Gravel Grinder TLR is Challenge's tire for cruising gravel at speed, with more cornering confidence when the ground turns soft or wet. A diamond center tread clears dirt and mud and grips on grass and sand, while wide-spaced side knobs hook into soft ground and help guide the tire through ruts. The mixed tread rolls well and gives you a bit more cornering grip than a pure fast-rolling pattern.

This is the black sidewall version in 700 x 33. It comes from Challenge's RACE series, which is vulcanized: a lightweight 60 TPI nylon casing, Challenge's SMART-V compound, and a PPS puncture protection layer between the tread and the casing. It is tubeless ready and compatible with hooked rims only. Challenge recommends its Smart Tubeless Sealant for setup.
