What is the Challenge Strada Pro Handmade TLR built for?

The Strada is Challenge's road tire for efficiency and road feel. Its supple, rounded profile takes the sting out of rough pavement while keeping control high and rolling resistance low.

This is the previous-generation Strada Pro Handmade TLR in 700 x 30 with black sidewalls, part of Challenge's PRO handmade series built on a Super Polyester casing. Challenge has since released a 2026 version with a new compound and moulding process, so the details on Challenge's current Strada page do not all apply to this tire. It is tubeless ready and compatible with hooked rims only, since Challenge's hookless list covers its handmade TLR tires from 33C up. Challenge recommends its Smart Tubeless Sealant for setup.

Is this the 2026 Strada Pro?

No. This is the previous generation. Challenge's 2026 Strada Pro uses a new SMARTprime compound and an Easy-Fit moulding process, and it carries different part numbers.

Can I run it on hookless rims?

No. Challenge's hookless-compatible tires are the Getaway RACE series TLR, its handmade TLR tires from 33 to 45C, and the Criterium RS TLR. At 30C, this tire is for hooked rims.

Who is the Strada for?

Challenge built the Strada for road riders who want low rolling resistance and a supple feel that smooths out rough pavement.
