Overview
What makes the Continental Kryptotal-Re a rear-wheel tire?
The Continental Kryptotal-Re Tubeless Tire - 29 x 2.40 | Downhill | Soft is built specifically for the rear wheel, with a tread tuned to balance braking grip, drive traction, and rolling resistance on mixed terrain. It is Continental's most versatile gravity tire, at home on trail, enduro, and downhill bikes. The Downhill casing is a reinforced, durable carcass that still keeps a supple feel, and the Soft compound brings a high level of grip with reasonable rolling for gravity riding.
This 29 x 2.40 size weighs 1,340 grams and runs from 23 to 50 PSI. It is Tubeless Ready, and Continental recommends at least 30 ml of sealant on the first mount. The E25 rating approves it for e-bikes up to 25 km/h, and Continental designed it to pair with the Kryptotal-Fr up front. It suits riders on 29 inch trail, enduro, and downhill bikes who want a rear tire that holds up to hard riding.
