C.I.M. stands for Carbon-Infused Manufacturing. Instead of layered carbon fiber, it uses long carbon fibers blended into a polyamide base and injection molded. The result is very strong and lightweight, with slightly more flex than full carbon but excellent durability and a lower price.
Will my bottle eject on rough roads?
That's specifically what the full-contact rail design prevents. The cage grips along the length of the bottle rather than just at two points, distributing the hold so it stays put through vibration and impacts.
How does this compare to the ENVE Carbon cage?
The Carbon cage is lighter and uses full carbon construction. The C.I.M. is nearly as capable at a friendlier price, making it the smart choice for riders who want ENVE quality without paying the full carbon premium.
