Overview
What Sets the ESI Extra Chunky Ribbed Grips Apart from the Rest?
The ESI Extra Chunky Ribbed Grips combine the cushion of a large-diameter silicone grip with a structured 8-rib pattern that actively channels vibration and improves tactile feedback on technical terrain. Built from 100% medical-grade silicone at a 34mm installed diameter, they absorb chatter from roots, rocks, and rough road surfaces while the ribs give your hands a consistent reference point for grip position, even when things get loose.
Designed for 22mm handlebars with fitment flexibility down to 19mm, the Extra Chunky Ribbed covers a wider range of bar diameters than most grips on the market. No adhesive required, installation is fast and clean, and the silicone resists breakdown from sweat, sunscreen, and UV exposure season after season. Riders who want the comfort of extra-chunky diameter with the added security of a ribbed surface will find these are hard to ride without once you have tried them.

FAQ
Good questions
Get to know ESI
There's more to ESI than this one product. Our ESI page has the full ESI lineup we carry and more about the brand.
Visit the ESI page →What do the ribs actually do on an ESI ribbed grip?
The 8 ribs create channels that help absorb and redirect vibration more efficiently than a smooth grip. They also give your palm a consistent grip reference point, which improves control on rough or loose surfaces.
Can these fit bars smaller than 22mm?
Yes. The ESI Extra Chunky Ribbed can fit bar diameters down to 19mm due to the flexibility of the silicone compound, making them compatible with some older or non-standard handlebar specs.
How do ribbed ESI grips compare to smooth ESI grips?
Ribbed grips offer slightly more vibration management and tactile feedback due to the rib geometry. Smooth grips have a cleaner feel and are preferred by riders who want even, consistent contact across the full grip surface.
