What is the Garmin Speed Sensor 2 and Cadence Sensor 2 Bundle for?
The Garmin Bike Speed Sensor 2 and Cadence Sensor 2 Bundle gives you wheel speed, distance, and pedal cadence from two wireless sensors, with no magnets or other exposed parts to line up. The Speed Sensor 2 straps to the hub of either wheel and self calibrates with your Edge cycling computer or compatible Garmin device to give you accurate speed and distance at all times, even without a head unit. The Cadence Sensor 2 wraps around any size crank arm on the non drive side and measures your pedal strokes per minute.
Both sensors use ANT+ and Bluetooth Low Energy to send live speed, distance and cadence data to compatible training apps or displays. The speed sensor also has onboard memory that records up to 300 hours of rides on its own, then syncs to Garmin Connect. A user replaceable CR2032 battery runs about a year at an hour a day, and the sensors are easy to install, maintain and move between bikes.

No. Both sensors broadcast over ANT+ and Bluetooth Low Energy, so they work with Garmin Edge computers and compatible Garmin devices, and send live data to compatible training apps or displays. Each sensor can pair with up to two Bluetooth devices and any number of ANT+ devices. The speed sensor can also record rides on its own and sync to the Garmin Connect app with no head unit at all.
How do the Garmin Speed Sensor 2 and Cadence Sensor 2 mount to a bike?
The Speed Sensor 2 straps to the hub of the front or rear wheel, and the Cadence Sensor 2 attaches to the non drive side crank arm with bands; you pick the band size that fits your crank arm securely. There are no magnets or other exposed parts to line up, and Garmin says the sensors are easy to move between bikes.
How long does the battery last in the Garmin Speed Sensor 2 and Cadence Sensor 2?
Each sensor runs about 12 months at one hour of riding per day on a single user replaceable CR2032 coin cell. When a battery gets low the sensor LED flashes red.
How do I pair the Garmin Speed Sensor 2 and Cadence Sensor 2?
Bring your compatible device within 3 m (10 ft) of the sensor and stay 10 m (33 ft) away from other wireless sensors. Rotate the crank arm or wheel two revolutions to wake the sensor, and pair using ANT+ if available. After the first pairing, your device recognizes the sensor each time it is active.
