Overview
What Makes the Kuat NV Base 2.0 Worth Every Dollar?
The Kuat NV Base 2.0 is Kuat's best-selling hitch rack, and the reason is simple: it delivers everything you need in a premium bike carrier without features you may not use. Built on the same platform as the full NV 2.0, the Base version carries two bikes securely using adjustable cradle arms and rear-tire straps, fits a standard 2" receiver, and sports a clean matte black powder coat that looks intentional rather than incidental. Compatible with most bikes and vehicles, it loads confidently whether you're carrying road bikes, gravel rigs, or full-suspension trail bikes.
E-bike riders are fully covered here too. The NV Base 2.0 handles bikes up to 60 lbs per tray, and the included e-bike ramp attaches directly to the tray to take the grunt work out of loading heavier builds. When you're ready to grow, the rack expands to 3 or 4 bikes with Kuat's Add-On accessories sold separately, and the tilting design keeps your vehicle's rear cargo area accessible even when the bikes are loaded. Available as a special order at Dialed Cycling Lab . reach out for details and pricing.

Visit the Kuat page →Is the Kuat NV Base 2.0 compatible with e-bikes?
Yes. The NV Base 2.0 supports e-bikes and holds bikes up to 60 lbs per tray. It also includes an e-bike ramp that attaches to the tray, making loading heavier bikes much easier.
