FAQ

What is Double Down casing on the Aggressor?

Double Down is Maxxis's reinforced casing that uses two layers of 120 TPI fabric. It provides substantially more sidewall protection and puncture resistance than standard EXO, making it well suited for aggressive trail riding where sidewall durability matters.

Is the Aggressor better as a front or rear tire?

The Aggressor works well in both positions but is most commonly used as a rear tire paired with a more aggressive front tire like the Assegai or Minion DHF. Its braking and climbing performance is excellent for a trail rear tire.

How does the Aggressor handle in muddy conditions?

The Aggressor performs best in intermediate to loose-over-hard conditions. Its open outer knobs shed mud reasonably well, but for consistently wet or deep mud, a dedicated mud tire will outperform it.

Best For

Trail and all-mountain riders on 29ers who need a durable, all-conditions tubeless tire that handles aggressive terrain confidently as a standalone or rear tire option.
