Muc-Off developed it in 2015 with input from their pro teams and athletes, after deciding the existing options on the market were not good enough. The formula is built to deeply moisturise for comfort over long distances in all conditions, and it is infused with essential provitamin moisturisers for a long lasting hydrated feeling on the skin.
The luxury formula uses natural ingredients including aloe vera, witch hazel, shea butter, and sunflower oil, which together create a mild cooling effect. It is also antibacterial, and Muc-Off deliberately leaves out parabens and toxins. It suits everything from hard fought classics to long sportives, on road or on trail, and while it was created first for cyclists, Muc-Off says it is also for triathletes, runners, and endurance athletes of any discipline who want to minimise chafing. Note that a women's specific version of this cream is available separately.
