Place the CC-2 into the chain links on the lower run of your chain. If the gauge seats fully at the wear mark, the chain is worn and should be replaced. If it does not seat fully, the chain still has usable life.
What speed chains does the CC-2 work with?
The CC-2 is compatible with standard roller bicycle chains across 5- through 12-speed drivetrains on road, gravel, and mountain bikes.
Why does chain wear matter for the rest of my drivetrain?
