How much force is needed to remove a freewheel?
Freewheels tighten themselves during riding and can require significant force to break free. Use a long adjustable wrench or clamp the FR-1.3 in a vice and rotate the wheel for maximum leverage.
Will the FR-1.3 fit my cassette-style Shimano hub?
No. Cassette hubs use a freehub body and require a cassette lockring tool, not a freewheel remover. The FR-1.3 is for older or entry-level bikes with traditional threaded freewheel hubs.
