Light, simple front cargo in the PDW Takeout Basket
The PDW Takeout Basket is a sleek front basket for quick trips and commuting, built from 10mm alloy tubing so the basket itself weighs only 500 grams. It fits 25.4 to 31.8mm handlebars and can even sit between drop bars, and all the mounting hardware comes in the box. Portland Design Works built in an integrated U-lock slot for carrying your lock, plus an eyelet for adding a light mount. Choose it with the roll-top bag or as the basket only.
The water resistant roll-top bag clips to the sides of the basket, so it stays secure without bungee straps. An extra long velcro flap makes extra room in case you need to overload it, and a long, wide strap makes it easy and comfortable to carry the bag on or off the bike. The basket only version is the same alloy basket and hardware without the bag. PDW says it can carry a six pack of bottles, five burritos, three chinchillas or an extra layer of clothing.
