The PNW Components Cascade Dropper Post is PNW's externally routed dropper, built for bikes without internal cable routing. The cable stays out of the way as the post moves, and the sealed air cartridge is weatherproof and holds up in below-freezing temperatures. We carry it in 30.9mm and 31.6mm, both with 150mm of travel on a 26mm stanchion and a 7075 alloy body. The 30.9mm weighs 613g and the 31.6mm weighs 632g. Both are 450mm long, need 110mm of minimum insertion, and measure 205mm from the seat collar to the center of the rails. It fits frames that take a 30.9mm or 31.6mm seatpost and have external cable routing. Choose the diameter that matches your seat tube. The 150mm post needs 110mm of minimum insertion and 245mm of full insertion, so measure your seat tube before ordering.

What is the difference between the Cascade and the Pine?

PNW calls them essentially identical externally routed posts. The Cascade comes in 30.9mm and 31.6mm, and the Pine comes in 27.2mm.
