Praxis Shimano BB30/PF30 MTN Conversion Bottom Bracket - 73mm
What does the Praxis Shimano BB30/PF30 MTN conversion bottom bracket do?
The Praxis Shimano BB30/PF30 MTN Bottom Bracket lets you run a Shimano Hollowtech II mountain crank in a press-fit BB30 or PF30 73mm mountain frame, giving you a proper, creak-free interface instead of a workaround. The cups are forged and machined from heat-treated 7075-T6 aluminum, and the bracket is built precisely to Shimano mountain bearing stance and chain line spec so your crank sits exactly where it should. Fully sealed Enduro 2437 steel cartridge bearings handle the dirt, water, and side loads of real trail riding and make this a dependable replacement for a worn or noisy factory BB.
This is the steel-bearing version for 73mm BB30 and PF30 mountain frames, and it includes a sleeve for PF30 installation. It is built around the Praxis Collet design for a secure, stable fit. Note it is for Shimano Hollowtech II steel-spindle MTN cranks only, not road cranks, and it is not compatible with Cannondale BB30a or PF30a frames. Installation calls for two 16-notch outboard BB tools and a press tool. Best for mountain riders and mechanics converting or refreshing a press-fit frame who want a precise, long-lasting Shimano-compatible bottom bracket.
