What Is the Shimano SM-BH59 2000mm Disc Brake Hose For?
The Shimano SM-BH59-JK-SS 2000mm is a long BH59 brake hose, designed for larger MTB frame sizes, full-suspension bikes with extended rear suspension linkages, and frames where internal hose routing travels a longer path. Using the correct hose length prevents tension at routing points, eliminates unnecessary slack inside the frame cavity, and ensures clean installation. Straight-cut ends use the standard Shimano BH59 olive and barb fitting process. A complete brake bleed is required after any hose replacement.
Compatible with Shimano MTB hydraulic disc brake systems using SM-BH59 hose specification. Mineral oil system. 2000mm length. Straight cut. Not compatible with BH90-spec systems.

2000mm suits larger full-suspension frames with longer internal routing paths, particularly the rear brake hose on XL frames or bikes with complex linkage routing. Always measure your routing path with a flexible cord before cutting to confirm the correct length.
Which Shimano brakes use BH59 hose?
Shimano lists SM-BH59-JK-SS as the hose for its entry-level hydraulic MTB brakes, such as the BR-MT200, BR-MT410, and BR-MT500. The Deore BL-M4100 lever also uses it with the BR-MT410 caliper. Deore M6100, SLX, XT, and XTR brakes use BH90 hose instead.
Is this compatible with BH90-spec brake systems?
No. BH59 and BH90 are different hose specs with different fitting hardware. Only use BH59 hose on systems specified for BH59.
