The Shimano Dura-Ace FD-R9250 represents a complete redesign of what a front derailleur can be, shifting 45% faster than the previous generation FD-R9150 while weighing under 100 grams and cutting frontal area by 33% for the most aerodynamic front derailleur Shimano has ever produced. As part of the semi-wireless Di2 architecture of R9200, the FD-R9250 wires to the BT-DN300 battery via EW-SD300 E-Tube cable while the levers communicate wirelessly, eliminating lever-to-derailleur cable routing entirely. Auto-trim continuously adjusts cage position based on rear derailleur location, delivering a completely silent drivetrain across all gear combinations without any manual trimming.
Braze-on mount. Compatible with 50/34, 52/36, and 54/40t road chainring combinations. Full customization via the E-Tube Project app over Bluetooth. Requires a compatible Shimano 12-speed Di2 rear derailleur, BT-DN300 battery, and EW-SD300 wiring. Not compatible with 11-speed Di2 or mechanical derailleurs. Cross-compatible with Ultegra R8100 Di2 components.
