The Shimano Sora ST-R3000 STI Lever Hoods - Pair is the genuine Shimano replacement hood set for the entry-level Sora 9-speed mechanical road shifters. Sold as a left and right pair, these black rubber covers restore the factory grip texture and finish to ST-R3000 levers worn from miles of training or commuting. OEM hoods are the easiest way to get a Sora cockpit looking and feeling new again.
Compatible with ST-R3000-L and ST-R3000-R mechanical rim brake STI levers in the Shimano Sora R3000 series. A small amount of rubbing alcohol on the inside of the cover during install helps the rubber slide cleanly over the lever body. Once the alcohol dries the fit is snug and stays put. The right choice for new riders, commuters, and any Sora-equipped bike heading into a new season.

These hoods fit ST-R3000 mechanical 9-speed levers in the Shimano Sora R3000 series. They are not interchangeable with higher-tier 11-speed or 12-speed hoods because the lever bodies are different shapes.
Are these sold individually or as a pair?
As a pair. The set includes one left and one right hood. Each is labeled L or R inside and goes on the matching lever.
Are these the same factory rubber that came with the levers?
Yes. This is the genuine Shimano part (Y05T98010). The texture, fit, and finish match the hood that originally shipped on your Sora levers.
Any install tips?
Remove the lever from the bar first, then put a small amount of rubbing alcohol on the inside of the cover to help it slide cleanly over the bracket. Align the protrusions on the hood with the hollows on the lever body. Once the alcohol dries the fit locks in.
